REF Clinic

SABO Basketball Referee Clinic

Becoming a Referee

Becoming a referee is a fairly simple process. Buy a uniform and a whistle, go to a rules review session and get your first assignment. But of course refereeing is not that easy. The SABO Referee Clinic can make a big difference whether you are a beginner or an experienced referee who wants to improve their skills.

How the SABO Referee Clinic is set up?

Each evening (Tuesday April 1st, Wednesday April 2nd, and Thursday April 3rd ), participants will go through three (3) 30 minute sessions on different parts of refereeing. Each session will be designed for your level of refereeing and will be delivered by different instructors who have years of experience at the high school and college level.

Each evening during the week of Monday April 21st –Thursday April 24th selected participants will referee actual basketball games involving teams from the FCYBA Spring League. Games will be video taped and participants will be critiqued for improvement by high school and college referees, assigners and evaluators.

 Dates & Site of Clinic

Evening sessions run Tuesday April 1st, Wednesday April 2nd, and Thursday April 3rd from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Kedron Fieldhouse in Peachtree City.
